What carries us: Shared values, pathways, and visions

Much of what carries our vision you may have already read on our homepage. Maybe you’d like to take another quiet look at those words before diving deeper now. What follows goes a bit deeper, becomes more extensive — and is still of great importance for what we want to create together.

Because a natural community lives from an inner alignment: mindfulness toward nature, mutual support, respectful interaction. When these values are clearly shared, the feeling arises: We are on this path together. Without this foundation, even the most beautiful clay house eventually feels like a construction site.

Less “higher, faster, farther” —
and more “deeper, more conscious, together” —
and all of this free of dogma!

There is a wealth of values and aspects deeply rooted in our hearts that form the supporting foundation of our vision. At this point, we want to dive further into what moves us — into the future we want to shape. With every person who feels called to participate — whether pioneer, contributor, or supportive soul — this vision grows, becomes more alive, more diverse, more powerful. This project is like a tree: firmly rooted, oriented toward centuries, ready to change daily and yet unshakeable at its core.

The values we share follow no fixed order. They are a living mosaic — wild, beautiful, colorful, and organically shaped, just like nature itself. This tree carries many branches, and every new person lets it blossom further.

It lies in our nature as humans to grow inwardly — and this living growth may also be reflected in our project. Everything we share here is therefore not a rigid manifesto but an organism that continues to develop, mature, and renew. This contribution remains consciously in flow and will be adjusted again and again whenever life, new insights, or shared experiences call for it.

👉 Rituals of connection
From time to time shared meals, evenings around the peace-fire place, circle gatherings, gardening work, celebrations, rituals of gratitude — all of this strengthens the feeling of we. When the relationship level is alive, conflicts dissolve more easily.

👉 Peace fire
Very close to our hearts and deeply rooted in our vision is a peace-fire place. A place (preferably central) where we can hold a peace fire/campfire evening at any time. Singing together, dancing, and connecting.

👉 Let’s laugh — joy & lightness
Sustainability is not meant to be constant seriousness. Laughter, celebrations, music, shared meals — all of this keeps the energy high. Community unfolds most beautifully when life is not only meaningful but also nourishing and vibrant.

👉 Communication & conflict culture
Community does not function without friction — that is normal and even fruitful as long as the exchange remains clear, open, and kind. A culture where one can speak about needs without fireworks of drama is worth gold. How exactly this works best, we cannot yet say, because it is only just emerging.

A good approach for communication in the group/community is circle work. It creates equality: everyone is heard, no one dominates.
A talking stick — physical or symbolic — helps slow down the pace and creates real contact.
It sounds simple, but it works deeply.
A circle where vulnerability also has its place and where one may show oneself as one truly feels in that moment or about a topic, and where we can find solutions together.

In challenges and conflicts, it is essential that honest and timely conversations take place according to the motto: Say it early, say it kindly, say it clearly. It is about actively listening and being present in the moment, giving feelings and needs the space to express themselves to the other person.
Accompanied by a moderator — “keepers of communication.” Because sometimes you need someone from the outside to calm the waves when things get stormy. Always focused on solutions and not on blame.

👉 Decision-making
A good approach for making decisions in our community is (at this current stage) consent.

Consent means that we only make a decision once no serious objections remain. It is not about agreeing; it is about the absence of reasons why the proposal would harm the shared goal or the values of the community. The process is simple: A clear proposal is presented, clarification questions are asked, short reactions are shared, and then real objections are requested. These objections are not seen as obstacles but as valuable indications to improve the proposal together.

Through this form of decision-making, a sense of equality, transparency, and shared responsibility arises in each individual.

👉 Space for individuality & privacy
As paradoxical as it sounds: community thrives when each person has their own space. Retreat spaces, personal decisions, individual freedom — all of this strengthens the group. Children and adults alike need moments for themselves in order to later return to connection.

That is why these oases of love are so precious to us. Every person, every family needs their own place — a home that breathes, protects, and carries. A space where one may arrive without needing to explain oneself. In such sheltered oases, one’s energy can flow freely, unfold, and bloom into full aliveness.

Specifically, we mean a piece of land, a place that truly belongs to you and breathes with you. The size may vary depending on the family, needs, and plans. Yet after many conversations with farmers, community founders, and people who have walked this path, a range of 3,000 to 10,000 square meters per family/resident has proven meaningful — in terms of real needs, economic viability within the community and one’s life, and in the awareness of how valuable and limited our Earth’s space is to give this opportunity to each human being.

This space is not just a plot — it is a living field of unfolding. A place where gardens may grow, children play freely, animals find a home, and personal dreams take form. Here arises space for nature, creativity, retreat, and connection. Enough room to shape one’s life in harmony with Mother Earth — and still close enough to feel part of the greater whole.

If there is a community house, it becomes a place that embraces people and offers them a home — regardless of whether they need a large plot or not. Some cannot manage land for health reasons, others consciously desire a smaller living space, and others simply want to be close to the community without tending their own land.

In the community house, people may live in a room or a small apartment and still feel deeply part of the living whole. They can contribute — in the way that resonates with them — and perhaps take on tasks that give their heart meaning and allow them to feel truly valuable. Here arises a space of closeness, warmth, and connection — a place where people live, contribute, and support the vision in their own loving way.

👉 Individual lifestyle & nutrition — free, diverse, human
As unique as every person is, so unique is their way of living. In our community, individuality has space — not as an exception, but naturally. It is completely okay to have modern things like a television, computer, or other personal companions. Technology does not contradict a nature-connected life; it is simply used mindfully, consciously chosen, and not considered a measure of worth or belonging.

The same applies to nutrition: Freedom instead of prescription. Every person decides for themselves what is good for them. Of course, we strive to live in harmony with Mother Earth — but that does not mean everyone must follow the same diet. No one has to give up meat 100%, no one must be vegan or vegetarian. What matters is conscious consumption, strengthening regional cycles, and using resources mindfully — choices that feel internally aligned and connected to nature.

It is not about perfection, but integrity.
Not about rules, but awareness.
Not about restriction, but freedom carried by love.

👉 Responsibility
In our community, we understand self-responsibility as a loving act toward oneself and the whole. It is not pressure, but an invitation to stand strong in one’s own power and contribute consciously to the shared field. Humanly and financially, it means: I take care of myself so that I can also be there for others. This inner “yes” to oneself allows trust to grow — forming a stable ground that carries our shared path.

At the same time, we know that lives and circumstances are different, and not everyone has the same means. We open our space for this too. Where the heart says yes, ways can be found. No one should be excluded because something is missing — because community does not arise through possession but through willingness, compassion, and carrying a shared dream.

👉 Task distribution within and for the community
We use the guardian principle. The guardian principle is a loving, simple, and powerful element of our community. A guardian takes on a certain area — a space of contribution — and holds the threads together. He or she ensures organization, overview, and alignment, always in harmony with the vision that connects us all.

Whether it concerns the school, the summer festival, the seminar center, or other heart areas — the guardian carries responsibility, coordinates contributors, and monitors the costs. And yet, the guardian is never alone: the community stands supportively behind them.

Everything happens voluntarily, from the joy of contributing and the desire to brighten our shared field. Every person brings what resonates with them — talents, time, enthusiasm, heart — and naturally takes responsibility for the whole.

And through all our actions, one thing remains essential: the shared vision. It is our orientation point, our inner fire. Staying true to it ensures that the project can grow in harmony — powerful, aligned, and for the good of the community.

👉 Personal development, unfolding, and consciousness
Every person comes into this world with a unique task — with an inner calling that goes far beyond mere functioning. We are not here to drag ourselves through life but to shine, to grow, to remember who we truly are. It is time for each of us to find our soul’s plan, our calling, our inner fire — and to follow this path without being held back by daily life or external circumstances.

In our community and in each oasis of love, there shall be space for free unfolding — on all levels of being. Here consciousness may grow, presence may arise, the moment may become alive again. When a person arrives within themselves, not only do they bloom, but the community around them blooms as well.

👉 Integration of new people
When new people enter a community, it is like a gentle spring breeze: It brings fresh impulses, new perspectives, and energy that can enrich the shared field. At the same time, this process requires mindfulness, time, and open hearts — because integration is not an administrative act but a human one.

For new people to truly feel at home, there must be spaces of getting to know one another, rituals of connection, and structures that provide support without being rigid. How this will look will be published soon.

👉 Volunteers, WWOOFers & supporters of the heart
Our community shall not only be a home for its members but also a living place of encounter for people who wish to support us temporarily. Volunteers, travelers, WWOOFers, or people seeking meaning and connection may arrive here, help, and take something valuable with them. They bring fresh energy, new perspectives, and often valuable knowledge — enriching our shared field.

These people support us where hands and hearts are needed: in the garden, in building projects, at events, or in daily life. At the same time, they experience the power of community life rooted in mindfulness, nature, and genuine human closeness. A beautiful exchange arises — a giving and receiving where all sides can grow, learn, and support one another.

👉 Ecological implementation and living in harmony with Mother Nature in everyday life
A central heartbeat of our vision is living in harmony with nature. We do not only want to speak about sustainability — we want to feel it, breathe it, hold it in our hands, and make it visible in our daily lives. Ecological living means remembering that we are part of the Earth, not separate from her. Whether in energy, food, or the things we use daily — everything may happen in a loving, respectful exchange with Mother Earth and our everyday existence.

The personal garden plays a central role. Whether large, small, wild, or structured — it is a sacred place where we sow, care, harvest, and above all: learn.
We are aware that 100% self-sufficiency requires much work and is often unrealistic or not desired. But it is not about perfection — it is about awareness. Every step counts. Every vegetable from our own soil, every herb we grow ourselves is a gift — a contribution to personal independence, an act of gratitude, and a step back into the natural cycle of life.

Even small decisions can have great impact. A simple compost toilet, for example, is not only practical but an expression of appreciation. It does not burden nature — on the contrary, it gives back: creating fertile soil, new humus, new life. A nourishing cycle that reminds us of nature’s wisdom.

In our community, ecology does not only mean shared action — it starts on every single plot, in every small oasis we tend like gardens of our inner life. Each person designs their piece of land so that it can breathe: living soil, nourishing plants, places that invite living in nature’s rhythm. The paths, gardens, compost areas, water flows — all connect into a harmonious weave that runs through the whole community. We pay attention to natural building methods, resource-saving materials, and energy systems that respect Mother Earth.

On every plot, a cycle can arise that nourishes and gives back:
vegetables from the garden, natural water systems, compost that enriches soil, healing herbs — and the feeling of living with the land rather than simply on it.

👉 Freeing land
A heartfelt mission that goes beyond our community yet remains part of it is freeing land — a quiet yet powerful act in which we return a piece of Earth to herself. We acquire — or preserve — forests and meadows that may remain untouched: free from construction, free from industrialization, free from human interference that takes more than it gives. This land shall breathe, live, and sustain itself, for we are only guests here.

Every square meter of untouched earth provides space for animals, plants, biodiversity, and the precious balance that allows us to breathe in the future. While corporations and industries consume more and more nature, it becomes increasingly important to act now and protect what remains.

If you own forest or meadows, keep them — or place them in hands that will create something natural, sustainable, and loving. Together we can preserve untouched land and create places where people may live in harmony with nature.
